New Year's Resolutions 2013!

Hello my loves!

It's that time  of year again... time to wipe the slate clean and start fresh! A chance to improve yourself. Time for some new resolutions!!

A side note, I did really well on my 2012 resolutions. There were  a few things I could have done better on, but hey. I give myself a B+ :p  I have been thinking long and hard, so here are my 2013 Resolutions!!!!!! :

1. To be a more positive person. As I mentioned in my Perfect Imperfections post, I am a very overly sensitive person. While this is a good trait in some aspects, it is also annoying because I can be very negative at times. I take things to heart and think everyone is  judging me or doesn't like me, or my instant reaction to many situations is often the negative side of things. I want to really focus on being more positive, and not taking every little comment or action of others to heart!

2.  To be more creative, and experiment with fashion. I know this was a resolution last year, and it was the area I lacked in the most. Partially because I didn't have much inspiration, and partially because I had next to zero budget. But I have a steady stream of disposable income now, and loads and loads of inspiration! I want to make 2013 my most fashionable year yet!

3. To start a Youtube channel. This has been on my mind for over a year now, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it. No excuses this year! I am going to give it an honest go, and put all of my effort forth!

4. To exercise more regularly. Yep, the most generic resolution of all! I am really bad with making fitness a part of my lifestyle though. I will go through phases where I workout faithfully for weeks or even months, then phases where I do absolutely nothing. This year, I would like to make an honest effort to truly make fitness apart of my life

5.  To save more money. Again, such a generic resolution, but one I am horrible with. I have made a goal to save a set amount each month. I find this easier to accomplish with an end goal- and this year, we are headed back to America, so there's the motivation! I will need spending cash ;)

6. To have more patience. I have almost no patience. This is a virtue that I would very much like to have.

7. To set aside one night per week for a date night with my husband. I have always loved the idea of a set date night, but sometimes it can be hard. We would really like to make this a priority!

There you have it, my New Year's resolutions for 2013!

Checking In- New Years' Resolutions

Hey everyone,
So today, I wanted to check in with New Year's Resolutions. I think that it is good to refer back to your resolutions from time to time, and see how you are doing. We are 4 months into 2012! I can't believe it! I have been in Germany for 3 months, and it has been an amazing experience so far.
I feel like I have done a pretty solid job with maintaing my skin. I have been taking really good care of it, and rarely missing things like removing makeup before bed. I wish i would have better known how to care for my skin years ago! I feel like I am doing well trying new things. I have tried tons of new foods and I am learning a new skill slowly- speaking fluent German! I have also done well with experimenting with makeup. I have tried several new looks that I really love!
Okay, so I am slacking with fashion. I have had the body blues lately, and avoid certain clothes that I perceive to make me look "fat". I need to quiet the negative voice in my head, and just go for it! I also need to spend more time being involved with a cause. I think it's easy to slip  up because we get so caught up in our daily lives, that we forget our resolutions, etc. Don't give up! We are 4 months into the year, there's plenty of time to change!
How do you feel you have done with YOUR resolutions?

A Worthy Cause

Hey pretties!
So, in my last blog entry, I listed my New Year's resolutions. One of them was to become involved in a cause.  Have you seen this logo before? It is for the "Delete Digital Drama" campagin. The goal of the campaign is to put an end to cyberbullying. You're probably aware that cyberbullying has been a widespread problem for far too long. Think about it. How many negative or hurtful comments do you see on social media platforms on a daily basis? I know I see a lot! I also know there is so much more that we DON'T see. Things that happen in private messages, etc. Why? Why hurt others? People you probably don't even know?  It's easy to get courage over the internet. You aren't face to face with these people/ You can say whatever you want. But words hurt, personally or in the cyber world. So many people are dealing with immense amouts of bullying. It can affect someone's school or work performance, keep people from their everyday activities, and in some cases, push people over the egde to suicde or hate crimes.
So, ABC Family and Seventeen.com partnered up to start this campaign to help eliminate cyber bullying. I recently learned about this campaign, and I feel so passionate about it. Together, we can stomp out bullying via the internet. Go to seventeen.com/delete to learn more information about the campaign and to find help if you are suffering. Let's make the internet a happy place. :)
What do you think about this campaign? Have you been cyber bullied? How did you deal? Let me know.
Remember, love will ultimately set you free.

Amanda
